If you want to stay healthy you need to lose those extra pounds.

Losing weight in your 40s is a little bit harder than in your 20s. (1)

1. Change your diet habits

2. Exercise moderately



Another essential rule.

You need to increase calorie burning rate.

And the best way to do that is to increase physical activities.

If you are over 40, maybe a cardio workout will not be enough.

Of course, running, walking and cycling are old-school exercises that will help you lose weight.

But you should start doing endurance and strength exercises too.

Also, going to bed at about the same time every night increases your chances of losing weight.

4. Check your health from time to time

This is not a usual tip, but I think that it is important.

You should check your health, especially your blood.


Well, if you have hypothyroidism, insulin resistance, or diabetes you will have problems losing weight.

These diseases can significantly slow down the weight loss process.

If you want to be sure, visit your doctor and check your health condition.
